Soweto started as a traditional ska & rocksteady band in 1998 (Barcelona) under the influence of black music in general and Jamaican 50`s.60`s and 70`s in particular. After years of working hard and playing all over spain the band started to be well known and considerate in the ska & rocksteady cicuit and decided to go to studio to record their first maxi cd (2006-Silver Bullets- Brixton Records sublabel) also edited in vinyl version .This 4 tracks record was a great experience for them, because it was very apreciated by traditional ska followers.and also brought them the possibility to play in different european cities and be well known because their powerfull live shows. debut album from this great ska & rocksteady band from Barcelona.
