RSD 2024. Pink/red marbled 140g vinyl. In August 2024 the mighty Blues Pills are back with their new album BIRTHDAY. An album they created with the Billboard success and Grammy nominated pop hit maker, Freddy Häggstam (The Chainsmokers, Rihanna, Maroon 5, Bebe Rexha, Enrique, Taio Cruz et.al). Together with Freddy they gathered in the Swedish woods to create what came to be BIRTHDAY. Right in the early stage of the recordings, Elin found out she was pregnant. As she had been dreaming of becoming a mother, Elin’s pregnancy and the journey to becoming a mother became a strong narrative for this album. She has been combining the life as a mother with the life of a rock star, continuing a successful career as one of the strongest frontwomen in today’s rock scene and kicking down barriers for other women to follow their dreams and not let society's norms limit or shape them. Especially within a male dominated scene such as rock. The LA photographer Trippy Dana created the album artwork and main press photos, capturing Elin in her third trimester together with the band in the most powerful way.
