ReIssue des Debüts von 2006 auf limitiertem clear splatter Vinyl! Damals schrieben wir: Holy Shit, das müssen sich die Leute auf der letzten Alexisonfire-Tour gedacht haben als sie die Vorband sahen. AOF hatten als Support eine weitere verheißungsvolle kanadische Band im Gepäck, nämlich die Cancer Bats. Und da die Jungs ihre europäische Feuertaufe grandios bestanden haben, kommt ihr Album nun auch offiziell in Europa raus. Auf dem Debüt vermischen die Cancer Bats Hardcore mit Southern Rock und Punk-Elementen zu einem brachialen Sound, welcher den Zuhörer gnadenlos überrollt, und mich an Bands wie Every Time I Die, He Is Legend oder etwa Norma Jean erinnert. Sehr starkes Debüt einer jungen, hoffnungsvollen Band, für welches die Band den ausgezeichneten Produzenten Gavin Brown (Billy Talent) gewinnen konnte! * Sbäm
