Didjits verbanden ihre Liebe zu Hardrock (AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Cheap Trick), Punk (Sex Pistols und vor allem die metallische Kunstshow von The Plasmatics) und Rock´n´Roll der 50er Jahre (insbesondere Jerry Lee Lewis und Little Richard) zu einer Marke, die, wie Dexter Holland von The Offspring treffend beschreibt, "ein wackeliger Zug war, der kurz davor stand, aus den Gleisen zu springen". Ab 1988 veröffentlichten die Didjits fünf Alben bei Touch and Go sowie zwei Singles und eine EP.
